That’s why we’re supporting the NHS Blood Donation’s New Year appeal for more men in Luton and Bedfordshire to register as new blood donors.
Ordinary men can become extraordinary life-savers because their blood can be used in special ways. For example only men’s blood is used for complete blood transfusions in newborn babies. And only men’s blood is used for plasma, which is given to people who’ve had massive blood loss.
