ADAM (Advanced Diabetes Awareness & Management)
For those individuals who have lived with Type 2 diabetes for more than one year, QISMET accredited ADAM course is more suitable. ADAM is a one day in-person programme delivered in the following venues (Bedford, Biggleswade, Flitwick, Shefford and Dunstable) tailored specifically to help participants to understand and self-manage their diabetes in the longer term.
ADAM is delivered in one day (9.15-4.15) and provides practical guidance in a fun and interactive format. Attending an ADAM course will help give you the knowledge to make informed lifestyle choices. You can benefit from meeting and sharing experiences with others also living with Type 2 diabetes in a group setting and receive honest expert up-to-date advice from diabetes specialist healthcare professionals including a Diabetes Specialist Nurse and a Diabetes Specialist Dietitian.
If you receive an invitation to attend our ADAM programme, please ensure that you respond to the opt in letter when it arrives by phoning the office number or emailing the email address on the letter and reserve your place on a day and at a location suitable for you. Participants are always very welcome to bring a friend or relative with them.
