What made you decide to start the return to practice process?
I took a career break to raise my children, and always intended to return to the profession. They are now older and more independent, so it was the right time to look into returning.
What activities did you undertake as part of the journey?
I was able to do some observation days in a private practice clinic to start my journey. Then I did a combination of supervised practice, independent study and the Coventry University AHP return to practice course.
What advice would you give to someone thinking about returning?
It can be daunting taking the first step, but there are lots of resources available to guide you through the process
What have you missed most about your profession?
Being part of a team of professionals working together to help people to recover and achieve their goals.
