Emergency Department Appeal

Throughout the pandemic, our hospitals have been under immense pressures, however, as a team and even a community, we have begun to adapt to this “new normal”, and our hospital has taken great strides to return our services to pre-pandemic levels, despite new variants arising.

In December 2020, Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust received wonderful news of a statutory grant, which would allow both Bedford Hospital and Luton & Dunstable Hospital to make much needed improvements and renovations to their respective Emergency Departments.

Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Charity are supporting our clinical teams by fundraising for equipment and services to help provide gold standard care for our patients. The items and services we have identified will support our staff to provide the best possible treatment for our patients in a comfortable and calming environment. In particular, we will be supporting three key areas – the Paediatrics Emergency Department, a Play Specialist and a Central Monitoring System.
