Dr Alawneh completed his neurology training as part of the Eastern Deanery rotation. This included working in Addenbrooke’s Hospital, The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London and Norwich Hospital.

Since qualifying as a Neurologist in 2014 he has been working in Bedford and Addenbrooke’s Hospitals, gaining experience in all aspects of acute and general neurology. He leads the department in Bedford hospital to ensure it provides the best possible care for the patients.

Dr Alawneh has carried out research in acute stroke units in the Neuroscience department in University of Cambridge as part of his PhD thesis where he looked at factors that determine the outcome after an acute stroke. This provided him with experience in managing strokes affecting all ages.
