Teaching both undergraduates and postgraduates at the University of Bedfordshire and running general diabetes clinics and diabetic foot clinics.

Diabetic foot disease, inpatient diabetes management, diabetes and endocrine disorders in pregnancy, electrolyte disturbances, adrenal, pituitary, thyroid and parathyroid diseases, and polycystic ovary syndrome and obesity.

In 2002, Dr Shwe Zin Chit Pan qualified from the Institute of Medicine (I), Yangon, in Medicine and Paediatrics before she moved to the UK. She was then awarded MRCP from the Royal College of Physicians (London) in 2005 before going on to complete further training.

Dr Pan was appointed as a Consultant Physician in Diabetes and Endocrinology at Bedford Hospital in February 2014. Dr Pan is the lead Consultant for inpatient diabetes care at Bedford Hospital

Dr Pan co-authored Oxford Handbook of Endocrinology and Diabetes 3rd Edition (2014).
