Sarah was nominated by a patient who had been diagnosed with a melanoma, who Sarah then talked through the process:

“It was a dreadful shock to me when the consultant informed me of it. Sarah was in the room at the time and after I had finished with the consultant, Sarah sat me down and went over everything again. She provided me with information and I had to make a decision on treatment. She explained my options and gave me a few days to see what my decision was.

“Thankfully, since my treatment there has been no other cause for concern.

“Each time I have seen Sarah, she has been professional, friendly, and despite a busy workload, she never makes me feeling I have to rush, she listens to my concerns and never makes me feel like I am fussing over nothing.

“At the time when I was first diagnosed, Sarah was there to help me navigate the process. Without her support at the time and ongoing care at my check-ups things would be far more traumatic.
So, thank you Sarah, and all the team, you are an asset to the profession.”
