Tracey Rowe
Tracey Rowe, Day Assessment Unit, Luton & Dunstable
“Tracey went above and beyond to help me when I was feeling very poorly.
I had tried to get a Haematology doctor to speak to me about needing a blood transfusion only to be told by the secretary that she wouldn’t be able to get hold of the doctor due to them being short staffed, which was not the answer I was expecting to hear.
“As the day went on I was feeling worse, so I decided to ring St Mary’s to see if they could help me. Tracey answered the phone to which I explained how I was feeling and she understood the situation I was in. She said she would page the doctor for me to see if she could get me in for a blood transfusion. Within 10 minutes she was back on the phone to me saying that she had arranged for a blood test and transfusion the following day.
“I was so pleased that Tracey had done that for me, and it was not the first time that she had helped me out. Tracey is a credit to the department and she fully deserves this nomination. I thank her very much for all that she has done for me.”
