Benefits of working in the new theatre facilities

Theatres staff workingAbout Theatres

In 2024, we saw 17,385 elective patients in theatres across a number of specialties.

Our new theatre suite will feature a dedicated pod floor allowing for a space for patients pre and post surgery, including an allocation for paediatric patients. This will improve our way of working as well as patient dignity and privacy when they are receiving treatment.

Our theatres will also feature the latest technology of a da Vinci Xi robot making surgery as straightforward and comfortable as possible for patients.

The new hybrid theatres has allowed us to expand specialist services such as vascular. A great opportunity for our Trust, staff and the local community.

Our Theatre service is led by incredible clinicians, who put the patients at the heart of what they do. You’ll be supported by a strong leadership team who are a group of approachable, knowledgeable and understanding staff. They are here to provide you with the opportunities to help you THRIVE in your role at our Trust.
