Well done to Shirley Bugler (Paediatric Ward 24) for being 1st runner-up!

Family/visitor: “Shirley is a star. At the beginning of the shift, Shirley reassured me by telling me “you’ll be okay mum, I am here with you all day”.

“My sick baby was refusing the bottle and being fed through an NG tube. Shirley was a ray of sunshine for me, so colourful and involved, this made me feel better; she gave me light and hope. She gave my baby his first bottle with love and he took it. Shirley reassured me that all will be okay and encouraged me. The third bottle I gave to my baby with Shirley behind me giving me the confidence to do it. I got the confidence all because of Shirley.”
