With my experience of working as a registered Mental Health Nurse in dementia services, community psychiatric nursing, and secure mental health settings and within Higher Education at the University of Bedfordshire, where I currently hold the position of Executive Dean of the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences, I feel equipped with the skills needed to navigate complex challenges and make informed decisions that drive growth and progress.
I am impressed by the Trusts’ commitment and its role in positively impacting the lives of individuals within our community. I am dedicated to upholding these values and building upon the foundation of good practice that has already been established.
As an NHS Foundation Trust Governor, my role will centre on fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment that encourages innovation, empowers individuals, and ensures transparent governance. I am committed to working closely with fellow board members, stakeholders, and community leaders to develop and implement effective strategies that drive the Trust mission forward.

I am a governor representing Luton Borough Council for the Labour Party in Challney Ward. I am a born and bred Lutonian and I care deeply about tackling inequality in Luton and improving outcomes for marginalised and disadvantaged communities.
I have previously worked for education and social mobility charities, working to improve outcomes for disadvantaged children and I am currently a journalist and have written for a number of national publications.
I am also a portfolio holder at Luton Borough Council for Adult Social Care and am keen to tackle disparities in health outcomes for communities across the town, whilst championing healthier and more active lifestyles.
