Dermatology (GP information)
Introduction
The dermatology department at the L&D is staffed by two consultants, a specialist Registrar, two nurse specialists as well as two further part-time dermatology nurses. The department provides a comprehensive service which sees patients with common skin diseases such as acne, eczema and psoriasis but in addition provides a number of specialist clinics and a ‘see and treat’, one stop service.
Inpatient Dermatology services are provided for all age groups.
Referral Process
Referrals are accepted via E-RS.

Other specialist services:
In addition to the above services, skin cancer forms an important part of the department work and we have close links to the visiting Plastic Surgery team and the Hospital’s Maxillofacial surgery teams. Dr. De Silva has a specialist interest in Paediatric Dermatology and has close links with GOSH.
