Fertility (GP information)
Introduction
Luton and Dunstable fertility services are licensed to offer in-vitro fertilisation (IVF), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) and IVF/ICSI with egg and sperm donation as a satellite service with Bourn Hall. The service has developed over the years and has become known for its range of successful treatments.
We have recently relocated to the dedicated L&D Fertility Centre on Lewsey Road to enable us to give individualised high quality patient care and provide the best chance of conceiving. We have a dedicated team to assist in achieving the best possible outcomes for our patients. We can also offer counselling and support throughout your journey.
Our specialist team aim to work with you to diagnose and treat fertility related issues in our dedicated fertility centre. If IVF is required, the majority of care can be offered by the L&D Fertility Centre, with just two appointments necessary elsewhere. Patients can choose where they would like to be referred to, but the L&D work in close partnership with Bourn Hall, in Cambridge. of male factor sub fertility and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.
Referral Process
Referrals via GP after baseline tests. Preferred GP referral process, e.g E-RS, letter directly addressed to:

Procedures Provided
Procedures undertaken in our Unit include the following:
- Follicular tracking with Ovulation induction
- Hycosy for tubal patency checking
- Controlled ovarian hyper stimulation for IVF/ICSI
- Endometrial scratching for women with recurrent implantation failures
- Reproductive surgeries
- Self-funded/NHS semen testing
- One stop HyCosy service
- IVF /Assisted Conception Seminars
