Private Patients – The Cobham Clinic (GP information)

Introduction

The Cobham Clinic is a small, private patient unit with 13 single en-suite rooms situated within, and managed by, Luton and Dunstable University Hospital.

We are here to offer all the benefits of private inpatient and outpatient care in a patient’s local hospital with the peace of mind that there is 24 hour emergency care available under the same roof in the unlikely event it was needed.

We offer exceptional care in many different specialities for both pre-booked and some emergency admissions.

As a small unit, we can provide patients with personal and friendly care in first class facilities and because all our consultants are based here at the Luton and Dunstable University Hospital for their NHS work, they are almost always here on site should we need them.

We have 24 hour access to ITU and HDU beds should they be necessary, as well as MRI, CT and Ultrasound scanners and twelve operating theatres. Therefore, unlike many private hospitals, in the case of medical emergencies, patients can be treated immediately without needing to be transferred to a different hospital.

Our team is made up of highly skilled and dedicated staff that will look after your patients for the duration of their stay in the Cobham Clinic.

Further information is available by telephoning: 01582 497433.

All profits from the Cobham Clinic are invested directly back into NHS care provided at Luton and Dunstable University Hospital.
