Breast cancer treatment is extremely successful, largely due to the additional (adjuvant treatments) that work alongside the surgery. Sometimes we may give some treatment before surgery, in which case this non-surgical treatment is termed ‘neoadjuvant’
You will be able to discuss with your surgeon, breast care nurse and oncologist which non-surgical treatments are recommended for you and why.
