From 6pm on Friday 23 October, until 6pm on Saturday 31 October, one carriage way of Lewsey Road and the drop off point outside the main hospital will be closed.
This is part of our work in creating a new Travel Hub on Lewsey Road, which includes a four-storey car park for patients and visitors, and increased bike storage. During this time, an alternative drop off point will be available further down Lewsey Road, outside the Microbiology department.
In addition, patients attending the L&D site for renal appointments will have allocated parking in the car park near Microbiology and signage will be clearly presented. To manage traffic congestion, there will be a manual stop and go traffic control system in operation during the day, and a traffic light control system at night.
We would like to advise all patients and visitors to take into consideration any potential delays that may be caused on their journey to the hospital. The new Travel Hub remains on target for completion by the end of December.
