GROW 2.0
GROW 2.0
As the digitalisation of NHS services continues, within the Bedford Hospital maternity unit, GROW 2.0 was launched on Tuesday 10 September 2024.
On Tuesday 26 November 2024, the platform will also be launching within the Luton and Dunstable University Hospital (L&D) Maternity unit.
The GROW 2.0 software programme will be used in the antenatal, intrapartum and neonatal period to assess and interpret fetal growth and birthweight centile, and therefore plan care accordingly.
This software will be used for pregnant women / birthing people booked on from 26 November onwards at the L&D.
What is GROW 2.0?
This software will produce individualised growth charts customised to our pregnant women / birthing people once staff record details they provide about themselves, medical history and previous pregnancies.
Once this is completed, staff can share with our service users the results of examinations and scans to check on progress and make sure their baby is growing well.
All information will be stored safely and confidentially. It will only be accessible to those who are involved in the service user’s care, and for helping the NHS to monitor the quality of service they receive.
Further information about the GROW App privacy policy is available here: www.perinatal.org.uk/Information/PrivacyNotice
GROW 2.0 is provided by The Perinatal Institute, a national not-for-profit organisation set up to enhance the safety and quality of maternity care. It is a qualified provider of maternity support services, including education and training in standardised maternity records, fetal growth assessment and perinatal audit.
