Luton’s Family Hub
Luton’s Family Hub
Luton’s Family Hub has been created using Government funding. The council is working in partnership with Flying Start, Early Years Alliance, Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Luton & Dunstable Maternity Voices, Family Partnership Services, Luton Children & Adults Community Health Service, Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust (CCS), East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT).
The Family Hub is a new Government initiative providing support to families from conception until the age of 19 (or 25 for young people with special educational needs and disabilities – SEND). It aims to connect and enhance a range of services that support families, ensuring all parents and carers can access the support they need when they need it.
It will provide early help with social, emotional, physical and financial needs and incorporates three key delivery principles: access, connection and relationships.
Luton’s Family Hubs are in the very early stages of development and will bring all children’s services in Luton together in one central place to make access easier for our families. Family services are being provided currently by our partners and eventually we will have a blended mix of physical and digital, with some online and interactive virtual services in the form of a mobile App and also physical face to face support, through Family Hub buildings and outreach services, to ensure that families can access support, all day every day in one form or another.
