The L&D is committed to safeguarding all patients. (View our safeguarding declaration).
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and everyone has a responsibility to safeguard them from harm and neglect.
The L&D is committed to Safeguarding Children and Young People (from unborn-18 years).
In line with legislation and guidance, staff are supported by the provision of safeguarding training, supervision and support from a dedicated Children’s Champion Team, Name Safeguarding Doctor, Nurse and Midwives.
The Safeguarding Team also work with other agencies to promote the welfare of children, young people and provide support for vulnerable families.
