About us
We are a team of 3. We work within the Health Education England National Preceptorship Framework supporting newly registered Health Care professionals as they make the transition to autonomous practitioner. The preceptorship period is up to 1 year. At Luton we provide a structured programme of 3 Multi-Disciplinary Team Study Days and 3 clinically focused Study days targeted to individual faculties. At Bedford it consists of 5 Multi-Disciplinary Team days and 1 clinically focused day.
We provide a Multi-Disciplinary Team Preceptorship workbook to guide preceptees and preceptors to discuss structured support based on new registrant’s previous experience and identified development needs. Individual development needs may vary particularly for international recruits as compared to “home grown” professionals.
